Goa Birding Tour: 2022-23

Although Goa is a well-known destination for tourists, it is also a popular destination among birders. With over 470 species of birds recorded in this small state and access to most of the birding hotspots, it is one of the well birded areas in the country. One can explore a variety of habitats in a small area and it is possible to cover more than 150 species in a span of 4 days. Stay on the border of Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary at Jungle trails Homestay. From here also explore Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary. These areas are more frequented by local as well as foreign birders. Includes a session at one of the Wetlands and a boat ride in River Zuari to explore the birds of the mangroves.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Jungle Trails Homestay inside Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary. Post Lunch birding around the campus.

Day 2: Morning birding in Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary. Post Lunch birding in Tambdi Surla followed by night trail.

Day 3: Morning birding in Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary. Post Lunch birding in Tambdi Surla.

Day 4: Morning Zuari Boat ride followed by drop to airport/railway station.

Max Group Size: 6

Inclusions: Pick up and drop to airport/railway station, stay on twin sharing, all veg meals, guiding, park entry tickets, boat ride charges and GST.

Exclusions: Mineral water and other beverages, any food items not in the menu, any other personal expenses.

Malabar Trogon, Malabar Parakeet, Malabar Barbet, Grey-fronted Green Pigeon, Mountain Imperial Pigeon,  White-bellied Woodpecker, Heart Spotted Woodpecker, Sri Lanka Frogmouth, Velvet-fronted Nuthatch, Blue-eared Kingfisher, Jerdon's Nightjar, Jungle Nightjar, White-bellied Blue Flycatcher, Collared Kingfisher, Black-capped Kingfisher, Lesser Adjutant, Greater Crested Tern.
