The caves in Goa are unique. They are a doorway to history, culture, people and architecture in the past. They tell the story of beginning of architecture and form a link from primitive, stone-cut monolithic caves to rock-cut temples.

Caves in Goa are built in laterite stone which posed a unique challenge to be chiseled and decorated. They have very crude architectural features. Exploring these caves is a privilege as every time one visits them, might discover something new!
