Amboli Birding: 2022-23

Amboli is a hotspot for reptiles and amphibians but the bird lilfe here has not been explored to a great extent. Amboli falls in the Northern Western Ghat region and has the Vigor's Sunbird which is a northern Western Ghat endemic. In addition to that there are other endemics here as well like the Rufous Babbler which can be best seen at Amboli. Also a very good place to see the Brown Crake. Good area for a short birding trip.

The trip involves 3 days of exclusive birding in the forests of Amboli, Paddy fields, lateritic plateaus and the foothills of Western Ghats at low altitude forest of Banda. It is a 2N/3D package. A good number of birds can also be spotted at Mrugaya Nature Retreat where you will be based for your birding trip. You can get few of the endemics coming at our bird hide.
