Maina-Curtorim Wetland Complex

Maina-Curtorim wetland complex is a multitude of man-made water tanks with the Maina lake/tank and the adjoining flooded fields being the key feeding ground for a large number of waterfowl that winter in this area. One can see hordes of Pintails and Garganeys here is additions to other wintering waterfowl. The paddy fields adjoining the tanks also are good birding areas for Waders especiall during the ploughing season and with the growing crop one can get to see a variety of species right from the ploughing to the harvesting season.

Key Species: Northern Pintail, Northern Shoveller, Garganey, Cotton Pygmy-goose, Pheasent-tailed Jacana, Gadwall, Eurasian Wigeon, Bluethroat, Temminck's stint, Ruddy Shelduck, Common Snipe, Spotted Redshank, Small Pratincole, Stork-billed Kingfisher, Siberian Stonechat, Tree Pipit, Red Avadavat, River Tern.

Inclusions: Naturalist fees, GST

Exclusions: Bottled water, Breakfast and travel to the location is not provided in the trip cost but it can be organized at an additional cost.

Things to carry: Binoculars, Cap/Hat, Sunscreen, Camera (optional), Refillable water bottle.
